At the age of 76, John Scott, as the Low Country Men of the Church Program VP, reached out to Andrew Martinez, caddy for Tom Lehman, to speak at their regular monthly breakfast, this one was special because it was during the week of the Heritage golf tournamant held annually on our little island.

Andrew gave an "incredible talk" to 50 guys and suggested his boss, Tom Lehman, be the speaker the following year the week of the Heritage tourney. With the help of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Golf Ministry, which Lehman supports to this day, Andrew and John made it happen. In April, 1997, during Heritage Week, Tom Lehman spoke to a packed house of over 500 men, women and young people and, as they say, "the rest is history" and so began what has come to be known as the Christian Heritage Breakfast. The tradition began because of one man's idea and perserverence. Gone but not forgotten, we honor our founder.

After years of running and competing in soccer had taken a toll on her, Amanda was drawn to yoga. By 2009 she embraced it fully, taking classed four times a week. She enrolled in an instructor prom and became certified in early 2011. Mixing her knowledge of yoga with her degree in public health makes her a strong asset to the studio and to the community.
